Kickstarter is filled with amazingly elegant, well sculpted, and brilliant projects. Elevation Dock is no exception to this criteria; not in the slightest. From its use of the sleekest tools to sculpt an aluminum masterpiece to its usage and support of the phone in ways that we have never seen before, there’s a lot we’re hopeful for in this project.
This dock introduces something that we’ve surprisingly never been shown before – easily disconnects. There’s no need to hold down your docking station, then snatch the phone off the 30 pin connector with this. It seamlessly pops off when you need to use your phone for whatever needs. The connector within the dock itself is remade, modified, to require less friction, the dock itself is a bit heavier to make it difficult to fly up with the phone, and the bottom of it features two rubber feet. Along with all this, you are going to be given a support pad. The pad itself has two tasks, make it so the phone doesn’t rub against the dock and make it so thick and thin cases are placed to your liking. That’s not all it features, but it also has line level audio output making it easier, better, and simpler to listen to your favorite songs stored on your iPhone on any speakers you may have.
While we don’t have many details about how the dock performs, how well it will function, or what flaws it may have, we’re incredibly excited to have one in our hands to finally get over the many problems that plague Apple’s own dock. It looks gorgeous, seemingly works in ways we couldn’t have imagined, and will hopefully be a killer product.
You can check out the Elevation Dock on its Kickstarter page to get more information or even back it up for as little as 59 dollars (if you want your own to be shipped to you come April, that is) Below we have the video where Casey Hopkins shows off its usage and beauty. We’re excited for this to come into reality, and you should be too.
